Rapid Adsorption Kinetics

CMS 350KT is a carbon molecular sieve with the pore mouth controlled narrower than 10 Angstrom for rapid oxygen capture during the pressurisation stroke. Oxygen at 3.46 Angstrom enters the pellet at several times the rate of nitrogen at 3.64 Angstrom, supporting a 40 to 90 second cycle at 7 to 10 barg adsorption pressure.

The rapid pressurisation and depressurisation profile reduces the air consumed per cubic metre of nitrogen produced. BET surface holds approximately 1100 m2/g, bulk density 0.60 to 0.66, moisture at supply below 1.0 percent.

Robust pellet shape resists fragmentation at the bed velocities the rapid cycle imposes. Low dust formation protects the downstream coalescing filter, product line valves, and analytical instrumentation that confirms outlet purity.
